Cleaning up/restoring the underside of your car?
Discussion
I was cleaning my car aftyer work earlier when i noticed some surface rust on the rear suspension arms and in a couple of other places, it only looks minor but i would rather it was not there.
Are there any companies that carry out a service for a reasonable amount to clean the underside of the car and treat/paint various bits?
I am based in South Bucks.
I suppose i could get out the wire brush, axle stands and some hammerite but i would prefer someone to make a more professional job of it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you look in classic car mags (I recommend Pratical Classics) you'll find numerous companies offering underseal services etc. from about 250 quid.
Personally, I'd grab a can of underseal, an old paintbrush, a wire brush and some turps (to get the US off you!) and get on with it. Cover any brake discs etc though.
It's quite a satisfying job really; did my Amazon the other week after fitting the exhaust... hopefully it'll be good for another 40 years.
Mind you, getting US in your long hair ain't too much fun...

Been doing the underside of one of my 4x4's...be careful what you wish for cleaning underneath...I found more holes than in a crack w
es tights but better finding them now than noticing when the body drops off the chassis
Anyway, save yourself some elbow grease - if you've got a half decent leccy drill at home pop to your local motor factors and grab a wire brush drill bit.
They slot in the drill and as long as you dont go nuts with the revs, they bring things up a treat ready for painting.
