Hi All,

I've got a couple of small door dings on my MR2. They're no bigger than an inch. Is it wise to use a 2 1/2 inch dent puller to get these out. Any stories of people using these succesfully (with no previous experience), is it as easy as pop on and take off?

Just concerned it'll cause more damage than good if I'm not careful, creasing etc. All the search threw up was people getting them fixed by a body shop or chips away type outfits.

Thanks,

Pest.

If you care about the car get a PDR person on it. DIY ends in tears in my experience!

You could try that method of popping them out by cooling them with a cooling spray and then warming them up?

Videos on youtube show how to do it better than I just described!

Do care about the car, someone got me the dent puller so was tempted to give it a go. Now having second thoughts. Read somewhere it's easy to crease the body work.

It's easy to make it worse at which point the PDR man will look at you as you are a fool (which you would be for trying). Do not ask how I know (I'm a fool).

I've had a go with a suction dent puller and with a little puller that works with a hot glue gun.

As long as you are sensible I've found it works well.

I don't claim it is perfect but for example a van hit my door which I assumed would need a new door but I managed to get 95% out.
