Had a bit of a barny with the girlfriend yesterday, I just got a new rental car for the year, its a lovely new Saab 9-3 Aero in black and on returning from the cinema with her yesterday I discovered that right in the middle of the door is a dent and load of white paint from where some ABSOLUTE bd has not only opened their door and scratched mine but has opened the door hard enough to dint my door! ...Now I know the car isnt mine as its a rental but it is brand new, and I take pride in my cars, aaaand I lost it... what kind of absolutely retarded cock smoking tt of a person parks next to another car and practically kicks their door open hard enough to knock it off the hinges?! I swear you can't have anything nice in this world without someone messing with it! I mean seriously, how hard is it to open a door the right amount?! (and yes I was well within both lines when I parked)...WHY!? I honestly cant get it into my head how some people can have absolutely no consideration for other peoples possessions or respect for them either! I would LOVE to catch someone with this outlook on life and teach them a lesson to leave other peoples st alone, bd! EVERY time I get in the car now I am going to see it, right in the middle of the door! ARRRGGGGHHH! I mean we all have tapped the car next to us with the door by accident, it happens, but what gets me is that this useless waste of air has done it deliberatly, I even thought of ways that they could of done it tha hard by accident, like the wind catching the door as they open it, but it wasnt windy...

...then after five minutes of fuming in the car quietly to myself (was trying not to rant at the girlfriend because it wasn't anything to do with her) she turns round to me and says, "Its only a car, dont worry about it"...and thats when the fight started.

I know it's a rental, but its in my possession for the next year and I have to see that dint every time I approach the car now and remember how the person basically raped a car lover and got away with it laughing...(a bit over the top?)... and if you think I over-reacted and should move on, you are a supporter of rape!

Paintless dent removal sounds like the way to go. It will save you getting annoyed each time you see the car.

yes

Probably stop the rental co charging you £40,000,000,000 for repairs too

indeed it does, however there isnt a service that does that here in Qatar. The locals leave dents on their cars because they believe when you see dents on cars it gives them an honest view of the car and nothing has been covered up... rolleyes

eta, anywhere that does do minor repairs is a big risk as the staff they use are not what you would call "skilled", infact they would probably make it worse, and as it isn't my car and is brand new I don't want to open up a can of worms as I understand they would probably need to remover the inner door panel to work the dint out.

I can't imagine anything worse happening in someones life

Brother in-law almost lost his eye yesterday and had to be rushed to hospital but thankfully his car didn't pick up any dents where we had to leave it.

Why are there always ridiculous comparisons like that on threads like this?

Have hire car companies lowered their fee, that seems cheap...

Maybe i'm odd but i'd rather have a dent in a car then a huge piece of metal stuck in my eyeball.

Punish your girlfriend by smashing her backdoors in. That'll teach her for being insensitive and not being understanding of your situation.

That's the standard PH recommended course of action innit biggrinwink
