Both my mate and cousin have a bluefin tuning thingy. My mate has a Mondeo tdci and my cousin have a MK 1 Focus RS.

What ime asking is can I borrow one of there blufins to flash my cars ecu (focus st170) or is each bluefin specified to a certain car.

Thanks

They lock to a car once first used.

They are locked to the car, and even if they were not, you have a completely different engine to them!

I'd also suspect you'd only see very minimal gains on an ST170 as it's n/a not turbo.

Cheers for the replies.

I thought they could of been interchangeable no matter the engine because you download a the map of you computer.

I knew it could of been a stupid question which it is but atleast I know now.

It's not gains Ime much worried about it's just the drivability.

All bluefins are the same it's just the software thats different I think.

My mate has one that he used on his focus ST, he sent it back and had it reprogrammed for use on his Scirocco, it cost about £250 if I remember rightly.
