Chaps, I was lucky enough to have access to the secret carpark in London where the gumball cars was being prepped. Just wanted to share the pics with you, sit back and enjoy and would welcome all comments?

Looks like a bd child of a R5 Turbo and a "Quatre aile" or 4L

Holy Cow an Aston One 77, Didnt expect that!! Shame the wrap makes it look crap! Loving the GenII GT3 RS (red/white) though.

I dont get this event, they pay tens of thousands to take part, then they have to have Gumball sponsors plastered over their cars? Seems a bit backwards, surely if they had paid £40k to enter they could sell advertising space /promote their own company on the side of their vehicle.

One-77 is FIIIIT.

I SWEAR I saw that S class (SS59 AMG) that other day. Looks cooler in Yellow.

I found the 2 cars that looked boring & cold for me was the Aston One-77 and the Veyon! Two of the most expensive cars on the grid. The Aston, did not look like it was worth £1.3 million. Can some one remind me why its £1.3 million? The car was loaned by Aston Martin. Along with lots of other cars are hired. For eg Max car the drop head phantom is a hire, the SLS etc etc etc

I spoke to a lot of Gumballers and some of them from Dubai have paid £16k to get their car flown over alone. From the US (L.A) £40k just to fly over.

The Gumball is an event for Business Owners, these are seriously multimillionairs who are all using the event to get publicity for their brand. For eg the SLR boys were from Dubai and was pushing electric cigarettes http://www.cigarti.com/ as u can see on the sun visor. If your a business owner its a very good networking opportunity as you get to meet like minded people in one week and can tie up deals.

This year it's £25k to enter, I was talking to one director of a wrapping company yesterday, he was offered a place for £7k last min! So lots of last min deals to be had!!

But if your pushing a brand and getting awareness, then £25k is not that much.

Here's the bit you don't know, was at the official launch party last night, and the drivers and co-pilots who paid £25,000 could not even get into their own private party!! Some thing to do with the club was full, got turned away and about 50 out of 200 went home!! WTF?? £25,000 can you can't even get into your own party???

But until you mentioned the electric cigarettes I had never heard of them, and if you hadn't mentioned it at all their involvement in GB, and the product itself, it would have passed me by. Exactly who does this event reach? The people who watch the cars leave? The chap who wraps them?

Cant be the people watching them leave.

I am based in Cov Garden and total interest generated is about 6 groups of Spanish schoolkids on a field trip.

The fact they weren't allowed in the club is hilarious.
