I'll start with my road car suggestion.

Porsche Carrera GT

Roadster, mid engined dynamics, NA v10, German reliability, Company racing heritage.

Lovely sound. Looks impressive. Far too heavy to be close to perfection.

Based on reviews of the S and MC Stradale, the weight isn't ruining the car.
At least the perfect car, and GT, for me that is. smile

Given its price point , how easy they are to have fun in and how practical they can be, I'd have to say that it is nearer perfection than any limited production run trinkets with telephone number prices posted so far.

I'd like to say my car the E30 M3 but I have agree with the above. I too can not think of a better example.

Realistically, that is automotive perfection for a lot of people. Good drive, roadster, cheap, parts are a dime a dozen etc...

Automotive perfection so far seems to mostly been heard as "What's your favourite car?"

Automotive perfection is surely subjective?

What about the E39 BMW M5?

Very fast, handles well, understated looks, comfortable, fairly reliable, lots of room but not impossible to park, and a proper manual gearbox!

Sensible hat off - 1969 Pontiac GTO 455 4 speed manual

Incredible looks, and I have never been in anything that has put a bigger smile on my face. Yes, other things are faster and corner better etc etc, but for sheer enjoyment it doesn't get much better than one of these! biggrin

They make you feel 10 again, and to me that is better than going round a corner slightly faster, or getting double mpg figures wink

The Bugatti Veyron, because it was a totally no-compromise design.

It grabs headlines for other reasons and there are many cars I would prefer for a variety of reasons, but it is perfection in automotive terms, I doubt we'll ever see anything 'beat' it in that respect.
