My lovely Mondeo shed (see profile) now has its MOT due by June 14th so I've decided that rather than try my luck at a 2nd year of success, I'd get shot and trundle around in something else. I bought it in June 2009 for £500 with 74,600 miles on the clock and currently have it listed on eBay with a very fair and accurate description and showing 99,400 miles.

The bidding is currently up to £102 with 5 days and 17 hours to go. What are the odds on me making my money back or possibly more than my money back? smile

If, by some miracle, it does get to £500 then I'll be forced to say that this heap of a 14-year old Mondeo is the best car I've ever owned! Bangers are the future, I've tasted it.

Would it not worth have been worth a £30 punt at trying the MOT? If it had passed you would definitely have made your money back and possibly a little profit to fuel the new banger with!

I think you're underestimating the laziness involved here.

Jeebus - R reg! I've only just bought my first car that's newer than that 2 years ago after 15 years of driving. And that's got nearly 110k on it now, and I still regard it as posh and low mileage.
As said, I can't imagine that'd fail on much, if anything on the MOT test!

Damn, how the other half live.... wink

Yeah but I bet you didn't understeer it or oversteer it too much did you?

The true value of a PH car is one that is cheap but brings out the smile on your face most drives rather than just at the end when you put your accountant hat on.

For over/ understeer, my £175 Astra GTE 16V must be the best investment ever made!
