How much would you expect to pay for a 2001 (Y) 1.6 Focus Estate Zetec?

100k+ on the clock, 12M mot and tax.

I think the one I've seen is too cheap spin

Also - common problems to look out for ?

Its a grands worth max, check the cambelt has been done, if its white check its not ex Police/ Dog unit (holes in roof, sticker marks etc).

Anything with 12 months MOT thats half decent is worth £500 upwards really.

Value is a bit lower than I expected then - which is good.

Too cheap IMO even without climate pack. If it's a Zetec, shouldn't it be on alloys?

Definitely a Zetec - don't know about alloys though. Would I need to declare to my insurance co if it's on steel wheels instead of alloys?

This. Something is not quite right there!

The money seems ok but it shouldn't be on trims as a Zetec.

Someone's maybe sold the alloys before trading it in or something? scratchchin

As long as the tyres are legal on the steels, it's all good, right?

Well yes, but if its priced as a Zetec it should come with alloys.

Would an LX be worth less than £550?

Could explain the low price I guess

I should really claim that was on purpose and my stalking powers are amazing but frankly I'm far too lazy to stalk anyone.

It was within my 100 mile search radius during my random use of autotrader while watching the F1 earlier. I noticed the lack of alloys too but didn't really care and thought maybe it was due to sticking on winter tyres and then selling the wheels on or something similar.

At this age it would be very marginal, but yes it would be worth less. Those trims do look suspiciously like LX ones too.

It is registered as a Zetec so I assume it at least has Zetec stuff inside it (I don't even know what that consists of)

Your guess is as good as mine on that one. It should have AC.
