Some theiving scum has stolen half the car ariels on our street last night, including the OH's, luckily my cars ariels part of the rear screen!

Probably just kids but it's still annoying!

Sounds like kids messing about, or drunken chavs having a laugh. Annoying though for sure

They won't be stolen. They'll be in a front garden or bin nearby.

Happened to our street. Approx 60 cars, £10 a pop on ebay...

Like i said, probably just kids, thing is though, the last time this happened was on my old Focus, i replaced it the straight away and the next night it went again, i reckon it was one of the neighbours who didn't fancy paying out for his replacing

It might be worth looking on eBay to see if anyone local is selling second hand Aerials

Quite common for stolen items to crop up on eBay

Annoying. I suggest you lie in wait in your garden armed with a trusty Shotgun to see if they return. Hope you can source a replacement easily OP.

Whatever happened to retractable aerials? Maybe been replaced by the on screen type aerials but automatic retractable aerials are pretty cool biggrin

Use Loctite thread locking compound on your new aerial, makes it much more difficult to undo.
Might cause problems if you use an automatic carwash though.
