Help with Confused quote

Hi, i've recently been trawling through the comparison sites trying to get a good deal on my insurance.It seemed whichever site I used the Admiral group came up best Elephant,Bell etc, and using Confused gave me the best quote even if I went through their sites direct.How would this be possible if I was using the exact same details, do Confused themselves offer a discount?

Also in the last couple of days these companies are no longer showing up on Confused, is it possible one of you could check and see if Admiral shows up for you, then i'll know if it's a technical error or something i've done.

AFAIK confused own the companies you've mentioned, so it's all a bit misleading really.

Admiral own Confused, Bell, Gladiator, Diamond etc. Try a different company. Co-op were good for me.

Cheers but it's only them lot that will quote me under £1000 the rest don't want to know.

Its the same for me, but as they're the cheapest I just simply purchase the cover from them.

If they're consistently providing the best quote,I'm not sure what the matter is.

I'm more just wondering why they're not quoting me through Confused anymore as it always came out with the best quote that way, even better than going to them direct.

Admiral / Bell etc haven't shown for me ever since I rang them, asked a few questions and decided against them, they haven't shown up since!

Admiral shows for me - 'cheapest' one too.

ETA at the bottom you might have "There are xx providers who could not provide a quote"... have you looked in there?

Cheers mate, yeah I get the cannot quote message but it doesn't say why.I've re-ran quotes they've previously been on just changing the policy start date but no luck.

I noticed this when I last checked (two months in advance) - I think I got 6 quotes, all from expensive companies. Perhaps it's more something to do with Confused's system changing a bit, and not actually trying, or failing, to get quotes from the others.

It really scared me actually, since it went from my usual quotes of 700~ to quotes for 1.6k~+. Just hoping that when my renewal comes through I'll still be able to find the lower quotes with enough searching.
