Parking up near the sea in the UK, East/South coasts
Discussion
Hi Collective,
Subject: Parking up very near the sea in the UK, East/South coasts - secluded!
Just wondering if anyone has any real-world knowledge of spots that fit the above bill?
Fine, there might be quite a few places where you can be in a Tarmac'd car park, with railings (& chavs) all about, etc - but I'm just after those more magical spots where only the likes of dog-walkers ever really know about.
There might be some anomalies where you can get a car quite near the water (or indeed in, but I will be tide and sand-savvy), that most people just don't know about.
Worth adding that I love the British landscape, and none of this is with a view to treating such an area with anything less than the utmost regard (I normally pick up other people's litter, when in such places - my way of communicating respect to the place, I have a dedicated bin for this in my car!).
Any help much appreciated.
Arif!

Mud Terrains it is then...!
In all seriousness - I don't mind if it's within sight of civilisation - there may be a row of houses on nearby cliffs or whatever - no problem. Just not other tourists and chavs. Dog-walkers - fine. No untoward intentions at all.
Plenty of places like That round Wigtown Bay and Luce Bay in SW Scotland. I am sitting above one now. Quiet little private beach. You can drive the car into the sand if that's your thing.
If it's a good dogging you want the local BiBin Northumbria iinform me St Mary's island near Whitley Bay is spot on.
