Camera help needed! :)
Discussion
Help PH!! I am after some recommendations please, I haven’t bought a camera for a very long time and I’m not really sure where to start as everything has moved on considerably since I last paid any attention. I have a budget of £200 to £250 to spend, on (I think) a “point and shoot” type of camera.
I like taking pictures and would like to take it up as a casual hobby, (especially as I am travelling a lot this year so will have the opportunity to take loads), but to be honest, I can’t be arsed with the hassle or expense of getting a digital SLR. Also with my limited photography skills an SLR would probably be a hindrance to begin with. The first test for this camera is going to be Le Mans next week so it should be able to take good (fast) car shots (high frames per second count?)As well as the usual holiday and landscape snaps. It would be nice if it had good optical zoom capability and if it could record video.
So with all that in mind, recommend away please chaps!

There's a photography section in the pie and piston section, it maybe better asked there.
