I've ruined a new pair of Toyo Proxies T1 R because my rear wheels have run with too much -ve camber, and some toe-out also. The other tyres need replaced anyway. Car is a Saab 9-5 aero wagon. Toyo prices are much higher than I recall, now £110 from Black Circles. 4 of them is going to break the bank. Browsing the Black circles website there are GT Champiro HPX
at £70 each. Anyone any experience of these or other recommendations. I'd like something decent in the wet, reasonably harder wearing than the Toyos but not something that's going to make me see the wrong side of the hedge. Thanks.

Vredestein Ultrac Cento or Sessanta , both are awesome wet and dry and done >30k on a 150bhp diesel hatch. Cento is quieter, Sessanta slightly grippier, but ultimately very similar

Thanks for the recommendation Jagfan. Unfortunately they are coming in at £116 each which is beyond my means at present.

225/45/R17 94W or Y. I've heard about the Nuton from Neos but don't I need to get them fitted and balanced by someone?

Avon ZV5s at £77.42 on mytyres.co.uk ?

I had them (XLs) on our Galaxy and found the grip and ride good compared to the previous Michelin Pilots.

I didn't get good mileage out of them though (but then I did have a tracking issue at the time - the subsequent Pirelli P7s I put on have been fine but much harder)

Avons are made in England too.

EDIT :

Also seen that mytyres have Uniroyal Rainsport 2s for £87.78. These always seem to get rave reviews.

are they really any good??? i need to replace the bridgestones on my scirooc soon and these look half the price. They actually look like they have a very similar tread pattern too.

My local tyre fitter charged me £20 for all four

I think they are as good as my michelin PS2's. They only thing I cant comment onis wear, as I only do 6000 miles a year, and have winter tyres also. But for grip I cant fault them. Loads of Saab and VX owners using them, and I know a few Subarus and fords using them also.
