lots of tools but about 15 of each why replicate so many, bit of an overkill tbh

He explains that. THe collection is a job lot from a workshop he bought, he only wants the milling machines. There is more than one mechanics collection in amongst all that lot.

As a real snap on fan, that lot is giving me serious tool envy!

Never known a workshop that retains the rights to the mechanics tools,or even supplies them.

There is a hint in the description about it being from a rally team, so not out of the bounds of possibility that they were team tools, not individuals tools.

You're right though, when I served my time many many years ago, my Snap On were all bought by me, nothing to do with the garage I worked in, and thats the same for every mechanic I've ever known.
