Interior trim clips
Discussion
Hi all
So it seems every single car I buy always has a broken clip in the interior, leading to it looking awful and generally annoying me. My latest acquisition is the same. Ive tried ebay and scrappys for them but to no avail.
Would a main dealer charge the earth for just a couple or a few little clips??
They're pesky little buggers to get hold of but the loose trim really bugs me.

Its a lupo. The door trim on the passenger side is loose near the top so its rather annoying. I went to a few scrappys today to pick up a new window winder. It took 3 before I found a seat arosa with the same winders. The interior on this one was missing, along with the clips. It seems Lupos dont get scrapped near my neck of the woods.
At risk of sounding obtuse/thick/etc
If the door trim is rattling or what such, is it not possible to find the screws holding said trim in and tighten 'em a bit? Works for my cars, although the design of both is 20 or so years elder
Slightly off topic, my step-grandparents run an Arosa (X reg) and have done for 5 or so years. It's one of the only two cars I know of that over that sort of period of time with average mileage has never needed anything doing to it bar routine maintenance. Amazing little motors.

My brother owns an auto parts store and I work there on the weekends to help him out. We sell trim clips pretty much every day to customers who need them for their bumper or interior, mostly the interior. I would stay away from the dealers though, they charge over $6 each! We charge $1.89. Take one of the old clips to your local auto parts store, they will match it up for you, but just know that in most instances getting the exact looking or style clip is a slim chance. Therefore you get the closest one to the older one. Dont worrying

The Lupo/Arosa was discontinued because it was too expensive to make - they're very well built little cars, much better than much of the tat coming out of VAG these days.
You obviously haven't heard of the vw lupo 1.4 sport 100hp. Mine needs a new gearbox, has a knackered front left caliper and the ECU throws up a warning light all the time. Great handling car thoughBill said:
IME of buying trim clips for a Transporter at a main dealer they were so cheap it wasn't worth the effort of looking online, nevermind a breaker's.
Cheers for the advice. Breakers arent as cheap as the used to be either. The problem I was finding was getting any sort of clip to fit, be it from any VAG car I could find in the scrappy. So from your experience of them being cheap I will give it a go.

Googling 'VW trim clips' turns up lots of results. You didn't bother looking before you came here, did you?
Ive spent a while looking for them. I could spend £5 buying 20 odd generic VW clips to find they dont fit but that would be both a waste of time and money. I simply asked the question to see if someone had any experience of buying the parts from a dealer (so I get the correct part) or if anyone had found a place to get small parts for specific models at a good price.
