My first mistake was to buy a new Chevrolet Matiz for my son as his first car. it is now just over a year old but still covered by manufacturers warranty.
The gearbox has been diagnosed as faulty and Chevrolet have agreed to change it.
The problem is they cant get one! been off the road over 6 weeks now, at what point do they have to do something, dealer (not the supplying one) wont give us a courtesy car (dont blame them really, not their fault!)
Chevrolet customer service just say they are chasing a delivery date.
Ive Waited so long ive bought him another car! one that is on the "Cool Wall" unlike the Chev!
Do i just keep waiting! might go on months?

I would say it is chevys fault and as a representative of them the dealer is responsable to you. They should give you something to run while yours is getting fixed, and this would also save you money in the long run (lower milage car, later service etc) so I would demand a car for use while yours gets fixed. You're not to blame so don't suffer

as its a parts issue Chevy should be supplying a replacement vehicle until your son's car is fixed.

i'd be getting the dealer to chase them on this as most other brands will take responsibilty if its a suplly chan problem.

A well worded letter to the dealer explaining that as it is an admitted fault, that cannot be repaired you require a replacement vehicle for the duration, or costs give them 7 days to respond
