Cheap car hire in France for Under 25s?
Discussion
Just wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a good car hire firm in France who will rent to an under 25 year old without adding a huge daily "young driver surcharge"? Im not looking for much, a Renault Twingo or similar would suit my needs perfectly. I will only be over there for about 4 days visiting family so It only needs to be something modest.
Super U / Hyper U / intermarche supermarkets do vans
intermarche usually by the hour tho, may depend on area
deffo not leader price
you can use a family members car on french insurance usually without telling them (the insurance) as long as you have had a license more than 2 or 3 years

Sorry if original post was unclear but my family have hired a villa over there for a month, so when I say visiting family I mean form the UK. Unfortunately this rules out lending a car as this would solve the problem. I would take my car but the 2000 mile round trip is a stretch too far with fuel prices as they are!

not sure supermarkets would let you hire if on holiday, need proof of french address
where are you flying to?
the small airports, car hire are usually avis (long queues) and Hertz or Europcar
try

www.citer.fr/
www.Hertz.fr

Was thinking of going to Toulouse as this would be closest to my destination but I would consider flying elsewhere if this meant I could rent a car for a sensible price. £350 all in for 4 days driving a Twingo is the best ive found so far! Thats all of £50 less than the fuel will cost if I take my Clio!where are you flying to?
