Spotted this on a road near me the other day.

The sign in the back (which didn't come out at all well) says "Untaxed vehicle". Is it destined for the crusher?

Thought with the goodwill usually dished out for these round here that this might bring a tear to one or two eyes.

Aren't clamps supposed to be put on the drivers side front wheel, so that you will notice it before setting off?

He's probably parked it well, so no room for the clamp to be slid on.

It'll just be a fine + clamp removal fee.

It won't be crushed.

Saw that in Belper the other day, thought the owner may have died/gone on holiday and forgotten? did look sad though.

Someone needs to report back to say what happens here! Guessing it's a local car?

Will keep an eye on it, it's on a section of one way street which is virtually unavoidable if you hit town from that side.

I saw a DVLA lorry a couple of days ago with a blue RX8 on the back of it. I've never seen anything other than bangers being clamped and towed before.

I still don't understand how they are allowed to take peoples property like that. I know they are committing an offense but it's essentially theft. The easy solution is of course to keep your car taxed but still.

It's theft, but to me only in the same way that if I hit someone I'd expect to have my ability to roam the streets afterward "stolen".
