Saw a new reg C30 driveeeeeeE yesterday with massive (and I mean massive, must have been 30% of the rear window) sticker saying "This car is exempt from congestion charge"

Can anyone enlighten me what does 99g CO2/km have in common with congestion and why a car as wide as a bus should have less impact on congestion if it comes attached with green bks?

For more of a giggle I learned that it was (probably still is) possible to convert a 4.7 Gran Cherokee to LPG and become congestion charge exempt! What a piss take!

Well, it was introduced as a congestion charge but then red ken started moving it more and more towards a C02 and envy tax. Then Boris got in and said he would stop the western extension to the area and remove the emissions based exemptions as it was about congestion, not pollution. So far he's managed one out of those two.
