I suppose the obvious answer is.... whilst doing your reading on the subject you must have developed a preference or have some idea of which system you prefer before worrying about how it will work.
In general terms regardless of what people say you don't just strap a turbo or supercharger to a standard engine an drive off! There is careful planning required to decide on the engine specification and if it is suitable for forced induction. It is possible to get away with adding superchargers which generally run 6-8psi boost to standard engines without any internal work being done where as a turbo or running higher boost will lead to far more strengthening work and £££
