The coolest car you can buy for 2k?

I'm in need of a run about. It doesn't need to be reliable, or economical as I only have to travel 2 miles each way but it does need to be pointlessly cool.

I'd love an old 635csi, but you really need to spend around 5k for one that works.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Have a look, I had a pretty decent late 635CSi that was a bh to sell. Eventually no-reserve auction on eBay saw it off for £1300. Which was a steal. Not a minter, but a good looking (dolphin gray with matching alloys) and very usable car with a fresh ticket. Never let me down. Even now it really fecks me off when magazines/punters/BS-merchants say that average cars are worth £4K. But, if you do find a 635 (which I hope you do as they are lovely cars), budget £1K a year at least to keep it on the road.

Cool is rather subjective. But for the most part hatchbacks and estates won't cut it, nor ratty diesel.
