Peugeot RCZ Very nice

Been to a peugeot dealer today to drop a mates car off and walking to the reception a car cought my eye, the RCZ.
I think it looks fantastic, one of the best looking mainstream cars available today. Realy impressed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Always been a fan of bmw and rear drive but this could possibly be my next car.
There's a 200 hp petrol and a 2.0 tdi, I would go for the petrol one.
May even give them a ring tomorrow and see if they have one to take on a test drive.


Anyone had one or been in one? what do you think?

I haven't driven one, but I think they are very ugly. I personally wouldn't consider one

I have one, if your looking at one get the 200bhp with GT pack, the GT pack adds a huge amount of spec. The toys on the thing are amazing for the price, despite being in charcoal grey it also gets a lot of positive comments and questions from passers by. I'm happy so far...

I can see where your coming from, but I can see other cars in the mix, a bit of TT, 350z, gt-r.
I think it can hold its own in the looks department

Definatley! I bought mine purely for looks until I can insure a V8V or GTR! I parked next to a well specced new TT the other day and I can tell you that the RCZ looked much more interesting! This is not a fan boy biased opinion, this is the opinion of a petrol head who buys cars on looks & or performance regardless of the bonnet badge!

They've been featured at some of the tyre launches I've been on, and have universally been broken.

The few that managed to drive them before they broke seemed to think they were pretty well balanced for a FF car...

Whats the power delivery like? do you have to drive it hard to make it go?
Having only had six pot bmw's would I miss the low down torque?

If you do get one get the quad exhaust system..

Whatever you get make sure it is the petrol, the hdi is over complicated, whereas the petrol is a proven bmw/psa unit.

Also a chip takes the bhp to proper levels.

There is limited supply so this car is a rare beast..

Get one.

Yes.
If I had bought a TT for the looks and one of these pulled up alongside I would think that have made the wrong choice

I've been seeing them in the flesh recently and can't help to admire the double bubble styling. The only criticism i have is that the rear lights seem a little on the small side.

I never understand the haterz for Peugeot, at least they are trying to be original in there designs to set themselves out from the euro boxes..

Unfortunately the badge snobs will always hate no matter how finished the product is..

I think the days of badge snobbery are numbered as mainstream manufacturers are producing cars rivaling premium German brands (other than the engines) and putting up a damn good fight too!
