Insurance Question - 3 month policy

Hello just wondered if it is possible to get insurance for around 3 months. Basically my insurance runs out in august and I have held a licence 2 years in November meaning I can not afford to insure the new car's I am looking at until then.
This means I want to insure my fiesta for another 3 months or so and then cancel it and get insurance on a new car.
Quotes are coming up at around £950 with elephant/bell/admiral so I thought could I pay monthly say it will be circa £100 month for 3 months and then just cancel the policy and do it that way?
I understand may have some charges doing this but if people could give me an idea of how much it would be it would be much appreciated

Why not just take out an annual policy on the Fiesta, then when you have the required licence experience just change the policy onto the new car?

If they won't cover the new car then hopefully they will give you a pro-rata refund.

I don't think any insurer offers 3 month policy.

After 3 months they'll probably charge you the full amount.

Because wont the relevant increase be taken into account when I started the policy or will it be based on the fact I have then have a licence two years. If not then it would make more sense to me of course and if someone could shed some light on this would be appreciated.
As an example at the moment a clio 182 would be £2350 when I have had a licence for two years this drops to £1675 so its quite a major difference for just 3 months motoring...

Currently running a rolling one-month policy with eSure, because I'm looking to sell the car, and didn't want to get lamped later.

If you take a policy with the Admiral group and cancel after 3 months the charge is £47.50 plus pro rata (time on cover) anything after that is refunded.

Okay thank's for that think I will go for that option then and then just take out a new policy when I get my new car

Ouch. Think mine is about £100 more, over the year, but then there are some advantages to being an old fart.
