Where have all the gold cars gone?

You hardly ever see gold coloured cars on the road anymore. During the 70's and 80's they were far mor popular. My dad had a Gold Granada 2.3 and then a Champagne Gold Renault 25 GTX.

If you go to Ireland there are gold cars everywhere. But over here it's Silver/Black/Recession White.

I was just wondering if there was a definitive reson or if it was just a trend.

Is it not bling? (did I say that correctly?)

My friend bought a gold rover 25 the other week.

I've noticed in our work car-park a lot more black cars recently, whereas a couple of years back it was filled with silver cars.

As far as gold ones go, haven't noticed many recently, which is a good thing IMHO.
