Who on earth were driving those other cars? Was it an OAP experience day?

Its not a great driver in the Skoda, and its an auto rolleyes

C'mon he overtook the Evo on the exit of a corner. The evo can't have been accelerating.

My impression is that everyone but the Skoda driver were taking it very easy due to the wet conditions. Especially those with more expensive RWD powerful cars smile

my guess would be a 1.4tsi vrs 180bhp might be the reason why
Which if the people in the other cars were trying, wouldn't make even the slightest bit of difference

It doesn't take skill to beat a Skoda Fabia around Croft in an Evo X. My dog could do it.

This is what puts me off buying a Skoda VRs, the people that seem to buy and drive them nowadays, will forever be saying how many more expensive cars they have 'done'..

Constantly looking over at the cars that they have overtaken..While muttering in a Nasal voice, the imbeciles they should have bought a Skoda..

Exactly...

It does make me laugh when people get so defensive about things like this...

It seems as though everyone else is just warming their cars up.

So when you say "giving Atom & Radical tough time on track", what you actually mean is "being driven at the absolute edge of it's abilities while all the other cars are being driven slowly and carefully in the wet".

What a load of absolute st.

"Scalped by a Skoda". What fking moron.

EDIT: 4 minutes 20 in one of them says "How embarrassing is that?"

The answer is very.

FWD auto hatch, in the rain. He might be quicker, but he's not having more fun than the rest of them i'd say.
If the radical was running slicks, I bet the driver wasn't having any fun. biggrin

wasn't it Stig Blomqvist who drove a 2wd, Group N Skoda Felica in the RAC Rally and came 3rd overall?

It's not what you drive and all that lot

May be they didn't realise they were on a trackday and skoda driver didn't realise he wasn't just trying to jump the que at Sainsbury!

It looked like suspiciously like one of those videos where someone goes to a track day and goes away believing they've done something impressive because they were the only ones trying.

But hey, maybe they are just having a laugh and the irony/sarcasm didn't come across well. If that's the case, my bad!

I think its obvious that the radical, atom, Evo and old chugger drivers are much more skilled than the Skoda driver, i mean the fact they are driving so slowly and carefully, making sure they don't spin off, meanwhile giving the Skoda driver clear room to pass whilst he is so obviously out of control and beyond the limits of him and the car prove that they are gifted.

Hold on

Maybe they were all women?;)
