A4 trouble.

Hi,

This is my first post on this forum in a hope to gain some advice or reveal someone who has had a similar experience.

Bought my second A4 Avant from the same garage as the first, 57 plate, 78k. I have had the car nearly 6 months but only done 4k since
i pruchased it, i paid extra for the usual extended 1 year warranty with Rac.

The car has been sluggish at the bottom end for a few weeks and has left me in a couple of situations on roundabouts especially with no
or little response from the engine which is the 170bhp version.

I contacted the warranty company about a week ago about my concerns and they told me to take it to a garage. The result of the inspection
equated that the car needed a new turbo and a new manifold, the explanation was that the turbo has something that was sticking on it and the
actuator on the side of the manifold was not letting the right amount of pressure in to enable the turbo to boost when it should be, or
something like that.

The upshot is that Rac warranties are not covering anything and are saying that it is due to wear. The warranty i was sold when i bought the
car was sold as an absolute must, it covered everything, i would have total piece of mind etc.....

I have contacted the garage i bought it off to express my concern and they are apparantely putting pressure on Rac warranties to do something
about it.

If anyone has any advise on this matter it would be greatly appreciated.

In my experience, third party warranties are as good as st. Best you can do is keep pestering them until they give in to what they should have owned up to in the first place.

What AUDIHenry said. Pester the fk out of them. Their SOP is to fob you off to begining with in the hope you go away. Keep on them, and the garage, get the garage to pester as well.
