What is good taste and what is 'vulgar' by the PH community?

Leading on from the Bentley thread, before somebody else does it.

Blatently obvious modified white Bentley convertibles aren't a good benchmark for vulgar, we'll take that as given.

So more accurate less obvious examples of good taste and 'vulgar' please.

On second look, white alloys are always pretty nice. That "diffuser" is utter gash though, especially with that silly exhaust.

Trying to make a car look like something it isn't doesn't go down too well. Huge alloys and bodykits on weedy cars. I like factory fitted bodykits designed by the manufacturer or a tuner they work with, like Schnitzer with BMW, but not aftermarket ones from Halfords and suchlike which really don't blend with the car's lines.

Anything that has been pimped / aftermarket body kit can normally be considered vulgar. This includes some of the old school coach builders like Dunhill and Masonary (sp)
Khan stuff is normally always vulgar

If something is modified, vulgar means it is obvious to all. Classy means that only an enthusiast will notice the changes from the factory and the work looks as though it could have been completed in the factory.

Vulgar - stuff that has to "shout" about what you've got, or just pointless crap - any ostentatious DRLs for example are a perfect example of this (to me at any rate).

Anything that is painted in matt or chrome paint is instantly vulgar imo. Same goes for aftermarket body kits.
