What do you want from your car now from then? Discussion

Been reading through most journals finding out where people are going with their cars and taste.
Well after my trip to the land of Germany, I've re-evaluated my plan of action with my BMW.
What I'm saying is what is it that influences and drives you to do what you do to your car...and how does that vision come on to your car? Are you happy with your direction or do you feel you want to point in another direction.
Mine is always keep my OEM non ///M and sleeper so it isn't in your face. And keeps the world guessing...I've had people ask why my 316i is so quick and also the opposite...''Its an M3'' lol In all my days I never thought I'd be driving a OEM saloon and that is really something that has changed since I had my M3 replica 2 door 318is!!!
I now have a list of things to do to the car as I'm now thinking more B road blaster and occasional track car...so my plans are inspired by how my car performed on track and what needs changing to suit my style of driving, still staying the same on exterior.
What is your goal and how have your tastes/visions changed since you started. Just really looking for a discussion and collection of ideas and thoughts.
