A few years ago I saw a Mini with a 3.5 litre Rover V8 under the bonnet(ish), it was still front wheel drive too

Many years ago I had a Sierra 1300 as a company car.

Going to a sales conference four-up with a bootful of luggage, it needed 3rd gear to ascend one of the inclines on the southern end of the M5. 65mph absolutely flat-oot with three cheering, jeering passengers. I was a relative junior, they all had 2 litre versions and could not believe that it would not go any faster.

Ages ago I saw a bright pink 'baja' style vw beetle with a rover V8 sticking out the back, must have been fun in the wet...

Can't think of any standard cars that haven't been mentioned. Apart from maybe the MK3 Golf VR6. Maybe it's just me, but it just seemed like a huge weight penalty for just a little bit more power over the GTi 16v. Yes I know these weren't the sportiest cars anyway, but still.....

2 weeks after passing my test I took my mums 1.3 Sierra hatch thingy from the NW to London to take my Sis for a job interview. Worst.car.ever.
