sat navs with camera alerts- any good?

was looking at camera detectors but seems sat navs are now pretty good at this? so which one and does it have to be on as route guidance or can it be used stand alone for cameras?

Had one that included (historic) mobile camera sites, which the makers advised me to turn off- it seemed to go off every 100 yards.

iv'e got a cheap garmin 205 nuvi with camera detector works very well, but have road pilot for mobile radars just in case.

My very basic Tom Tom start is always warning me of speed cameras that aren't there.

What phone have you got?? Nokia nav has fixed camera alerts and its all free.
