A good excuse for a driving holiday?

I live in the Isle of Man and about twenty yards from the TT course. The island is a beautiful place and a great place to visit if you're into the great outdoors. However I wouldn't really recommend coming over just to drive from round the TT course. Outside of race periods it is just a series of interconnecting public roads, most of which are subject to 30 & 40 mph speed limits. The mountain section is unlimited but most people don't really get to take much advantage of that.
