Just a quick question....



...is it easier to take the tyres off, paint the wheels and re-fit them or mask the tyres and paint as they are?

I prefer to get a natural finish to them;

If you want a proper job take the tyres off. If you want a quick lash-up, let the air out & just break the bead.
Lots of alloys corrode around the rim, causing sealing problems/air loss, so its always better to take the tyres off & clean the tyre seat properly.

Let the tyre down, work your way round the rim, pushing the tyre down and sliding ~1inch strips of masking tape between the wheel and rim, then bulk-mask the rest of the tyre. - easy peasy!
