What annoys me is that, in cases like these, the driver (ie. at deliberate fault) is treated to so much care and taken to hospital for 'shock'.

I'd have just nutted him if he'd have done that to my car.

Bang on sir! Especially as he didn't need to be there in the first place.

One of the comments under the story, by 'Tony' from Kent, raises a good point about parking on narrow streets though. I live in Oxford and sometimes have to wait behind delivery vans as they try to pick their way down residential roads (I'm thinking mainly of Southfield and Divinity road for any locals). Emergency vehicles any larger than a police bike would have to be fitted with ploughs to make it down at any speed.
