How many of you've got/had a V12?

I've just been thinking about the engines I've had over the years. Pretty much everything covered other than a flat 4 (which I'm not too fussed about) and a V12.

So, hypothetically of course(!), what does £10-15k buy - V12 essential...

I also always had a soft spot for the Merc SL600 circa 1995 (I don't know the model number I'm afraid).

Or if you're feeling exceptionally brave maybe a ropey Ferrari 412....

You've got a choice of BMW barge or coupe, Mercedes barge or coupe and Jaguar barge or coupe.

Both Beemers look nice but I can't help feeling that if I'm going to look at a V12 it should be something 'sporty'

Abviously the Daytona would be a good place to start but my house isn't worth as much as one of them these days...

£114k new in '94 and picked it up for £15k in 2005

The Ferrari 412 is uglier than my Aunty Audrey but I reckon it most closely fits what I'd be after. Sporting heritage and probably sounds better than the stock BM&MB 12s.

AMG tuned V12 does sound pretty fooking good though.

How about a Jag. Either mint XJS (maybe a 6.0) or an E-Type S3 (if you can still get them for this money, haven't checked in years).

Also what about a Ferrari 400/412?
