The Arash website indicates that the AF-10 is going to be powered by a V10 engine rather than the original GM V8:

This is the Judd GV S2 engine with a rebuild interval of 3000km:

Is this engine suitable for a road car or should Arash be sticking to the General Motors engines for their supercar?

It's only a problem if any of them actually get built!

5.5Ltr V10

At the heart of the AF10 is its engine, a 5.5ltr water cooled, naturally asperated V10 with a 72 degree angle and four valves per cyclinder, The power-plant produces 850bhp at 8000rpm and 530lb ft torque with a redline capability of 8500rpm.

~Dry sump lubrication with 7-fold oil pickup for optimum performance under all load conditions.
~Steel billit crankshaft and connecting rods for smoother and more immedaite engine responce.
~Electronic management system with motorsport specification wiring harness.
~Carbon airbox with aluminium intake manifold and trumpets, barrel throttle systems for improved throttle responce.
~Stereo closed loop lambde control
~Gear driven camshafts, ultra narrow valve angle heads
~Carbon 3 plate clutch
~Lightweight inconel exhaust system with ceramic heat coating
~Very low center of gravity
wow cool, can i still plug my Ipod in??? ;-)

(it also is spelt with an "a".......) [/nerd]

After the millions he's sunk into cars, he could have found £30 for an hour of proof-reading. At least a dozen typos or spelling mistakes.

Apparently the logo features a 'Peragrine Falcon'...Village.

A small company like Arash would be far wiser to use the originally planned GM LS series engines in their road car than the Judd engine - I suspect the change has been made to offer something unique in a car costing £320,000 upwards. A decision that may come back to haunt Arash Farboud though.

No reason why not - it'd mean changing the spec slightly from the full-beans racer engine to make it more durable, but it'd be possible.
