I was chatting to the guys at Eagle cars, and this E Type Speedster will be featured on it..... and the cost for such beauty a rumoured £500,000.

A car for me at £100k. £500k? It's good, but not THAT good!

I'll probably be burned at the stake...but the E-Type (or its clone) does nothing for me.

I have to agree with you.

Over the years I've tried to convince myself of the E-type and I've got so far as 'it's an iconic shape'.
But I'm not swooning and even with a euro-lottery 10-car garage, I'd never feel the urge.

Likewise, it's never really floated my boat. It's not ugly by any stretch of the imagination but I just don't 'get' it.

I think the Eagles do away with some of the body of a Jag sitting on a Mini look the E-type has going on.

Lovely but 500k? Sorry Id buy a real E-type and a pile of hookers to go with it. And some wheel spacers. And an I pad 2. And lots of drugs. And a small terrace house in Sheffield. Oh and a microwave, a set of mixing bowls, a handwhisk, a 24 inch CRT TV, a teddy bear, a holiday for 2 to magaluf and a set of nesting tabels. And a dry suit. and a wet suit.

Oh and put the rest of the money in the bank.

500k? Crazy.

Yet a really quite knowledgable and interesting person to talk to and was very friendly when he really didnt have to be. Some people just look at his TV persona and make judgements of that. Which is boring frankly.

Not at all, they are not everyone's cup of tea. Personally I would like an early coupe in theh collection but the later and fatter coupes and V12s are ugly and none of the roadsters do anything for me. On the subject here, £500k for a modernised E-Type is rediculous.

What inventive and witty posting.

As for the Jag, it does nothing for me.

Gorgeous car, and I love the interior. Always found something about E-Types, and this one is excellent! cloud9

I don't think they cost half a million quid, they drove one in Evo once and it was much less than that.

Was going to post the same as above was significantly less when evo tested a red one, but then they are bespoke so maybe it has a zonda's engine in it!

I know Henrys cars are pricey but I've never seen one go for that much.
