aventador V murcielago

OK here goes. the aventador is light years ahead of the murcielago. Point taken and agreed. bot i just think the murcielago is far far prettier. Evey one seems to think the aventador is sooo pretty. But i just think its too angular. such a shame i think.

The Murci doesn't look that dainty in the flesh and drives orrible so I'd go for a Trabant in preference (not really but you get the idea).

the aventador looks amazing but every-time I see one I think it is a gallardo.

The Murcielago is going to go down as one of the all time greats, it has a very classic shape while still looking modern, and I think it will age better than the Gallardo.

Lamborghini could not keep that car going forever though, it's been around for a while now, and the Aventador is the car for the future that Lamborghini needs. Subtlety has never been Lamborghini's forte, and the car does have an aggressive look, but for me it invokes images of technology, futurism, aviation, travel etc. I think in coming years, the Aventador will achieve the kind of stature the Murcielago had.

EDIT: FWIW, I didn't like the way the wing was mounted on the final Murcielago LP-640 SVs as pictured above, I know those brackets are weight savers etc but it still looks a little bit cheap I think, although I can see why they used them.

And I still cannot decide whether I liked the Murcielago better with the open port style exhaust it ended it's life with or the big bent twin pipes it started with.

The Murcielago was fantastic.
The look of the Reventon reminds me of this though....

Not really sure of it.

Its style has carried over on the Aventador.
might take some time to grow on me.

I agree with OP's point. Some lines of the Aventador look unnecessary. 1st gen Murci looks beaut - very clean and purposeful.
It's just happens at lambo - they make clean beautiful shape and then morph it into something kitsch.

I'm having a drive in the Aventador tomorrow. Will be interesting to compare versus the Murci. I love the looks of the Aventador - it's an absolute belter. I think it makes the Murcielago look a wee bit flabby.

Nope not been convinced. Just too angular. Murci is just far nicer to look at. Wonder if you could get a murci body grafted onto a aventador body. West coast customs style!!!!!!!!! ha ha

Dont like the Aventador from the rear,every other angle i think it looks stunning! Overall though i think i still prefer the murcie sv as far as the way they look go.
