A grinding / crunching sound when turning right.

Hi all,

I have a Mark4 S reg Golf (not sure if this information will be revalvent) and I noticed last night, and even more so today that when I turn right, there is a grinding / crunching sound.

Its only started recently and is mainly on round about and cornering.

I have looked online and saw that it could be the bearing or cv.

Would this be something to worry about and need to be fixed asap, and would it be costly do you think?

If it's only when you're turning right, then it's most likely the N/S/F wheel bearing. If it is this, it shouldn't be too costly but if I were you, I'd try to get it done ASAP.

It could also be something simple like the brake shield rubbing on the disc.

Cheers. Its started doing it in reverse slightly, and I've noticed at other times >.<

Theres no damage done to my doors. Its starting to happen in reverse and have noticed it at other times.
