£5k for a fun car

Guys,
Have sold the TVR due to house move/new baby/lack of garage space and not time to do the work required.
I have cleared it with SWMBO that once we've moved I can have a new toy
So, I'm looking for something fun, not necessarily practical as we have the Mondeo as a family wagon.
Oh and it must be able to fit into a single garage and not require copious ammounts of fettling or major rebuilds lol.
Will be used for weekend blasts, possible track days, 'Ring trip and escaping the 2 kids lol.
Am open minded as to whether it's a kit car or a hot hatch etc. (really loved my old 205 GTi
).
So what are your suggestions??

1. TVR S3c, got ridoff becasue it need too much work doing to it, had partially stripped it in current double garage but with moving to a bigger house with smaller garage and a new baby I don't have the time/space to finish it.
2. Loved it!
3. Possibly, but needs to fit into a small single garage, and having had it for 12 years perhaps a change is due!
4. Anything fun, not necessarily monster power, but fun to drive, good dynamics - I really am open minded.

You won't get a caterham for 5k. More like 7-8k. You may get a Westfield for that kind of money. What about a MINI Cooper S or an BMW M3 (E36)

Billy bargain at that - the GT Spec UK is the one everyone wants (I have one) the main advantage of which is the big Brembos - but unless you are tracking it I bet the standard brakes are fine. Plus used brembos aren't that much ££ on the forums.
