hyundai santa fe, any opinions....

We have a Mazda 5 at the moment (1.8 petrol manual), but we could do with being able to fit 3 child seats in the middle row so are looking for a change. Ideally to a diesel auto for the extra torque to drag round the weight, I find the Mazda under powered.
Having considered the zafira, which is cheap as chips, but not really big enough, with the rear seats up the boot is too small and there seem to be some build quality issues.
We used to have a diesel alhambra and would consider one again, but there seem to be some reliability issues, some which we experienced last time round.
The Hyundai Santa Fe appears to be a good alternative and outstanding value for money. With the advantages of 4 wheel drive and a 5 year waranty. For under 20k I can get a facelift 09 on with the newer engine and 6 speed auto box. I can't find any reports of common issues either.
What's not to like??? There must be a catch!

Toyota verso not big enough and Mrs doesn't like the styling
Big estate car (mondeo etc) not flexible enough
Vw touran dsg box too fragile
Chryslers offerings too unreliable
Sharon expensive compared to the alhambra for the same car
Galaxy as alhambra
Test drove a KIA sedona... good god never again!
Subaru tribeca I have an outback so would be happy with this, but the fuel consumption is pitiful and the tax on a newer one is 400 plus.... and its fugly!
