Tiny cars with lots of toys?

Do any of the tiny cars like C1s, C2s, Aygos, Smarts and IQs come with equipment like
leather seats, Air con, Cruise control and trip computers?

If so, what model should I be looking for?

Most of the ones I have seen are bog-basic

You don't really get high spec small cars now.

You can spec up a Fiesta Titanium i suppose.

Whatever happened to the Metro Vanden Plas and Renault 5 Monaco?

IIRC one of the options on these cars is a rev counter. Certainly was when I was looking.

You certainly won't find leather, air-con will be a bonus.

You can check the specs of cars and their designations on Parkers, useless as it is for most other things, it's decent for that.

For the C1, the top spec seems to be the vtr+, which gets air con, airbags(!!) and traction control.

I really want to chop the X-Type in for something newer and more fuel efficient so that I can use the TVR more, but I really want the replacement to have air-con, cruise and some other toys. Diesels are well over-priced unless you want something very leggy or absolutely st.

Any other suggestions?

Aston Cygnet is quite well specced.

The IQ is probably the best of the list there, but at the moment there isn't really anything really small and plush.

You probably need to go up a class of car to start getting toys. Doubt you'll get much on the city cars you have listed.Need to go C3?,yaris,fiesta,fabia,corsa etc.

Citroen C2 Code,is quite good spec.Heated leather seats,A/C,ESP,basic trip computer etc.It is a 1.6 though if you were looking for a small engine.

You need an Aygo Ice or Aygo Go! Air con to get air conditioning. The Go! has sat nav as well. Leather is a £720 option on the iQ3 and I doubt many people will have specified it. The other versions don't really come with much in the way of toys. I don't think any have cruise control because they're not designed for motorway cruising to any great extent. You can spend silly money on a personalised Brabus Smart car and have a pink one with blue wheels and yellow leather seats if you want.

Don't forget an iQ doesn't come cheap and is as wide as a VW Golf so there are bigger, better specced cars out there to be had new or nearly new for the same money.

I think all except the base models of Aygo can have AC specced. My Aygo Blue has it as standard. But the iQ definitely had a lot better spec. Not sure about cruise control though.

Our Fiat 500c Lounge has as standard:

- digital climate control
- electric windows with one-touch up/down
- reversing sensors
- remote central locking
- trip computer (mpg, range, distance etc.)
- electric heated mirrors
- media player that accepts USB memory sticks and provides track info in the computer read-out
- CD player, RDS radio
- bluetooth phone connectivity with voice-activated dialling (and will read out SMSes from compatible phones)
- ESP, ABS
- hill-hold assist
- seven airbags! (More than my Audi A6!)
- split/folding rear seats (that accommodate two adults comfortably)
- fog lights, rev-counter, alloys etc.

I was very impressed with the standard equipment. They're perhaps not as cheap as the Citroen C1-class cars you mentioned, but perhaps they're an option.

Leather was an (expensive) option, as was a dimming rear-view mirror. I don't think cruise is available though.

Dont Fiat 500's offer a lot of toys? I'm sure you can probably spec most of the things you are after if you go for a 500.

You can get Fiat 500's with lots of toys and the related Ford KA with most things. We test drove a new Ford KA about 6 months ago in Titanium spec with leather, climate and god knows what else but I do remember it having a serious stereo with some mega bass!

You pay a lot for it and lose a lot come resale time.

Smart Brabus is well specced and tiny - good fun too but not really a proper car as the boot is non existent and it only has 2 seats

Unfortunately that is the way. I went to citroen with intent on buying a C1 last year but it was just too basic as was everything else in that A-segment sector

Look on the bright side... you won't feel like a clown driving around, especially if you are a big bloke... and you of course you have less chance of being run over by surrounding traffic.
