Buy Your Own Race School for £50k

All sorts of esoterica can be found on eBay, but it's not often that an entire mobile racing school comes up for grabs. But that's what is currently listed on eBay over in the States - four identical race-prepped Honda Civics (of 'EJ' generation for the benefit of codename fans), a Dodge Grand Caravan (not, we presume, destined for the track)... and an entire articulated lorry (or semi truck as we probably ought to describe it). Oh, and all the equipment you'll need to run a racing school - including 300 traffic cones.

Even more astonishing is the fact that this cornucopia of racy toys is up for a 'buy it now' price of $79,000. That's a whisker under £50k for four racing cars, a 'team van' and a massive truck. Sounds like fabulous value to us.

Okay, so the civics are running a single-cam D15 engine, so they're not going to scare you silly in terms of pace (I had a similar-spec 94 Civic coupe and can confirm that its 102bhp engine is most definitely not capable of setting your pants on fire), but they do look properly prepped, and - come on - they come with their own truck... it's like Micro Machines for grown-ups.

I must admit that I'm mighty glad it's in California and that the ad doesn't actually have that long left to run, or else I would be pestering my bank manager...

Anyone commenting that the cars are crap etc is missing the point that this is a 'fun pack'

Quite right. But talk about a pre-emptive strike... the Honda-haters aren't even on the horizon yet...

Hell of a "bundle" that lot for the dosh. Shame it would prob cost at least same again (?) to ship over here although why you'd want a truck that size & what class the Civic would race in is beyond me.

They're not supposed to- it's a racing school, not a collection of race-prepped cars + support vehicles.

I'd get that lot just for the lorry, and spend ages practicing my knight-rider-style un-docking :-D I'd probably get through all 4 of those Civics pretty quickly...

I like Hondas and big American trucks so this would be ideal for me . I might have to try and persuade my wife (who is from Colorado) that we go stateside and start up a new business...

Didn't Honda have one in the US for sale a few months back, think it was about $50million.

That is incredible value.

Sell the Civics and then take a sabbatical driving your car (+ x3 paying customers track cars to cover your costs) around Europe driving on the finest circuits.

I'd buy that lot then break it up, the truck and trailer would be pretty expensive on their own. Unless there is something wrong with it.

My thoughts exactly, though pictures can be misleading, it doesn't look particularly rough either.
Sounds like amazing value for money...
