It's mad what you can pick up.
I came into work with the intention today of starting to look for a cheap runabout to commute, as my brother and I work together, and do 100 miles a day.
Had a quick search, 3 hours later I have a new commuter outside. A little 1996 Phase 2 106 1.5d, with 6 months MOT, and 9 months tax on it. Fairly decent little CD player, hideous seats and 4 good tyres. On the face of it it'll need a new rear shocker, and 2 driveshafts at some point in the future.
Cost to me, £147.50, £290 in total split with the brother. I was expecting to pay around £5-600 for a decent diesel one with tax and test, it's mental what's about if you have a look.
Anyone else nabbed any bargains lately?
