insurance advice question?
Discussion
Ok, I'm seriously looking at buying an Evo IV, it's an import with a modded exhaust and different alloys but seems stock in other ways, it's in good condition and at a decent price.
I started running insurance quotes and they range from £1400 (about what I'd expect to pay) to around £10000.
The thing that is confusing me is that prices go up if I say it has a tracker, I was planning to fit one thinking it would help my insurance. now I'm wondering if there are other little things like this. I noticed it goes up if I say it's stored in a garage and not on my drive also, what else is there like this that can put the insurance down?
I have 2 years no claims, no accident at fault or otherwise is over 5 years, I'm 24 and I live with my parents in a v good area of the town. I expect it to be around £1200-£1500 but hoped I could get it as a classic as I have 2 other cars and just use for weekends but all the companies say I have to be either 25, 30 or simply just no they refuse.
If anyone could help I'd be really happy the insurance is the all deciding factor in this, I'd mostly like to have it on a classic policy as like I say I own two other cars and one will be my daily driver but any help you can give would be great.
