Just a slightly stretched 306 GTI-6, isn't it? Does it come with a 6 speed gearbox? I saw a Xsara VTR today. I've never liked the looks but I thought they'd sell more than they did as write ups were usually favourable. They cost peanuts today too but they have aged quite badly compared to the 306.

a few years back it made sense as it was a cheap way to get Gti6 alternative but now that Gti-6 have become so cheap its hard to think of a reason to buy one of these, you get 5 gears, they look a bit crap, you might find a newer car as they made these for a bit longer after the 306 had be discontinued.

Same running gear as GTI6 but 5spd box,some say quicker and better 5spd as one less gearchange in same overall gearing.

Great cars and i have a real soft spot for ZX's, once got a quick go in a Volcane and i still remember it fondly.

The gearbox is identical to the gti-6's except for the obvious. Neither have the smoothest shift ever made, but they're strong and do the job well enough!

I think I'd say the MGF and MGTF. Sure, they aren't the best drivers' cars in the world, but they're still cheap decent handling mid engined RWD roadsters and frankly there are far worse cars out there that get far less flack.
