My TV went up the spout yesterday and I had to watch Wimbledon online. I was watching an American broadcast which had American adverts (obviously). One of which, was for the Cadillac CTS-V and boasted that it's 2011 model is the fastest production sedan and some of the statistics they rattled off were unreal. Nearly 2000 kg and a 0-62 in the 3s.

I'm a little ashamed that this car has slipped entirely under my radar. Has anyone driven one?

I did search to see if there was a thread on the car already but didn't see one in the last 2 years

Didn't they test it on Top Gear? Where May had it in the US, and hated it for ages, then suddenly as soon as he got it into the twisty mountain roads he loved it.

It was in the 'non entertaining factual' US road trip.

I think 0-60 times are more of an indication of the performance of tyres than the car. I'd imagine that any one of these supersaloons could spin its wheels at 60mph.

Are you kidding me? It looks fantastic in the flesh, and this coming from a hater of American cars in general. Both the coupe and sedan are absolutely stunning!

Could've been a nice, curvy sensuous rear end. Instead it's a slab sided, designed by setsquare affair.

It may grow on me, but for now, I'm not sure.

There's a few around these parts. I looked at one, but just couldn't get over the looks....M5 every day of the week.
