Should I respray before sale? (V Reg BMW 328i convertible)

Hi everyone,
new to the forum and hoping I'm posting in the right place!
I need some advice. I have a V Reg BMW 328i convertible in pretty good nick for it's age and mileage (108k). New tyres, recently replaced suspension, FSH, no faults, upgraded alarm etc.
The paintwork is also pretty nice for its age, apart from 2 scratches. One very deep bonnet scratch and one shallow door scratch. Both keyed.
I'm thinking of selling soon (need something more frugal and sensible) and am wondering whether to repair or accept I'll get less than I would have.
Does anyone have any advice on that type of car and age? Will it be worth me going to the effort and cost of getting it resprayed prior to sale or would that cost more than I'd gain?

I wasn't thinking of a full respray so wasn't expecting a respray to be that costly.
The bonnet scratch is the main one and is very obvious. It's only on one of the lower sections of the bonnet (ie. two lower sections with a raised middle - if that makes sense) and I've been told it might be possible to spray just that section given the straight lines separating the sections, and then blend it into the curve around that side's wing.
The colour is a metallic light blue. Possibly called Steel Blue?

I'd take it to a well-regarded body shop for their opinion on how easy it would be to match. As I understand it, the silvery metallic colours are more difficult to match than other colours, so the paintshop might advise you to get the whole bonnet sprayed.The bonnet scratch is the main one and is very obvious. I'd rather buy a car with a scratch than one with a multi-coloured bonnet.

Those mobile repair guys.I personally wouldn't bother, it's a V reg, marks are to be expected.
I might just try an polish them, but that's about as far as it would go.
Obviously polish wouldn't do much, but it would make it look slightly better.
And absolute idiots keying a car by the way....

Ah right. Like the Chips Away guys? They reckon the door one might polish out, or at least be a little less obvious. The bonnet one however is a very deep scratch (ie. past the primer to the bare metal).I personally wouldn't bother, it's a V reg, marks are to be expected.

Something needs to be done with that one then or it will turn into a rusty mess given time, IMO turning up to view a car with such a scratch does not bode well for the sale.It's just such a shame as the car otherwise looks lovely.
This is what the bonnet scratch looks like. Wasn't happy when I found that!
I've just emailed a couple of pics to a local body shop in Guildford and will wait for their quote. If I do it I'm tempted to wait until just before I put it on the market. I don't want to respray it only for some bell-end to come and key it again!

Worth getting a quote from Shalford Coachworks in Godalming - they did a nice job on the OH's Audi after a neighbour made a bit of a mess of the bumper. They colour matched the metallic paint really well against the other panels and at a pretty reasonable price.
Acually, stand by my original valuation, check Ebay for completed listings, not totally representative of selling prices but are the only actual actual sales prices there are and £1500 is about right. Not wanting to slag the chaps car but neither would I want to give duff advice suggesting he spend money on it before selling.
