Cars that should be banished from the pages of history.

Any car you think shouldn't exist, and those where you often think "Why did anyone actually buy that when it was new?" sort of car...I shall start it off with some that I personally don't like, not meaning to cause any offence to anyone that owns one.

Rolling up a few here....
Multipla - ground breaking design (seated 6 with luggage in the same space as a normal family hatch), handled better than any people carrier has any right to, clever construction with spaceframe and panels.
Toyota Prius - cheap tax, economical at circa 50-60mpg, (remember, it's an auto, so the usual comparison with 'eco' diesels can be discounted), huge amounts of space inside, low depreciation, Toyota reliability - and pioneering - it's the car which established hybrid power as a true, usable alternative.
Impreza - actually a very good car at launch, even in non-turbo form. Estate was a useful size without being too big - and they were very tough.

Old Hyundais and Daewoos deserve to be recognised as what they are - revenue generators for car industries in countries hauling themselves up by the bootstraps rather than grinding themselves into the ground. Honda, Nissan and Toyota started out producing similar mundane fodder. Heck, even Porsche established himself making basic transport.
Anyone criticising them misses the point completely (and adds a little more force to the hammer bashing the nails into the coffin of the British economy by failing to realise how money is made.....)

Silly answer - if you were looking for a 6 seater MPV with decent dynamics which wasn't huge and had luggage space I think this was the only thing on the market at the time. Plus it had the bonus of not being another jellymould POS and actually looked a bit different. People winge about the looks but being dull is a much greater crime IMHO. Choice between one of those, a Picasso, or a Zafira? The Fiat every day of the week.My nomination - Hyundai Accent Coupe from the late 90s. Utterly forgettable, and most inappropriate use of the word "Coupe" ever. My neighbours had one but have got rid recently, must have got fed up of me puking on it every time I walked past...
