selling on ebay ? Watchers ?

I put my car up on ebay the otherday. I assume (maybe wrong) that a high number of watchers is a good thing ?

I currently have 45 after a day and a bit, what would be the average amount of watchers for a £10k (ish) convertible ?

44 of them might be looking to sell the same car and just want to track what it goes for.

It only takes 1 person to bit to sell it (providing they arent the usual ebay knob jockey who bids to view, not buy), and conversely lots of bidders is not a guarantee of any sort that it'll sell!

I had 100 watchers on a road bike I sold on there, and about 60 on my car that I sold on there!

I'm selling a few mx5 bits on ebay at the moment, and I'm getting lots of watchers on my Buy It Now stuff.

Simply put, watchers do not mean guaranteed bidders.
You think great - loads of interest, but doesn't always translate into bids

My very rough rule of thumb: 10 watchers for every bidder.

Imagine a real-life auction. There might be 200 people stood there 'watching', with no intention to bid.

I think I had over 100 watchers on an auction for a Tigra once! Sold for the money we wanted too.

Sometimes i search for crazy cars like suzuki jimny with a v8 in, and i watch it just to see how much it would go for in comparision to how much it would of cost to build.

I quite often mark BIN 's whilst looking for similar items, only way I think you can mark a product for easy future reference?!

I've sometimes done this on non-essential fiat parts if I'm a bit short of cash so I find them easier come payday
