We have a courtesy car at present whilst our Seat is in the bodyshop and have been given a weeny little 60 plate Fiat 500. Today though a warning light has appeared on the bottom left of the speedo - yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it. Anyone know what this means? Also, is there a way to permanently disable the auto stop start function when you stop at junctions etc? The one we have doesn't re-start when you're ready to get going again.

Sounds like an ESP warning light.

This, or have you turned off the traction control or anything?

Its a courtesy car. Phone the garage tell them their car has a fault and they should come get it/ you drive it back to the garage and replace the car for a non broken one.

Thanks all, sounds like traction control then - wheres the button to turn it on/off?
As for the garage comment, yes I agree but the garage is now closed and it's also hassle if we have to fart around swapping cars so if it's something simple I'd rather sort it out myself.

The ESP is permanent on the Fiat 500.

Your best bet is to take it back as soon as you can and get a new car.

My sidelight bulb was blown - replaced it and yellow light went out. This solutions has also been posted by others on other forums, but I see that the "warning triangle" may also warn of other probs.

Had one as a hire car last weekend, the way to disable the start-stop feature is to press and hold the button near the gear stick which is an "S" with arrows round it.

No idea about the other light though, sorry

It happens on my fiance's car. On her's it is a warning in relation to the stop-start technology not being active/available.

Weird, mine never does that. It'll just come up with text on the screen as opposed to any warning light.

Never had any warning lights so far in the ~4-5K i've done in it.
